005 - Action/Voice

[Today marked a big day for Teddy Altman: He's eighteen today. If he were back in New York, he could vote in elections, own a credit/debit card of his own, and not have to groan over papers and applications that had a little note for people who were under eighteen. He's pretty much an adult now.

He still kind of feels like a young teenager who has no idea what he's doing, though, so he can't help being a little disappointed when he wakes up and doesn't suddenly feel like a man with a plan who knows everything and can do anything.

After gently being coaxed outside by Billy, Teddy decides to do all the things he usually does, seeing how Luceti is sorely lacking in ways to celebrate a milestone year like this. He wanders and chats up store owners, from the bakery to the weapon shop to Seventh Heaven to even the general store. He gets himself a large meal for lunch, as is customary for a guy like him, and orders his favorite just for today. He visits the library and reads up on whatever new comics they have, and that's where he gets lost in thought enough to open his journal and ask a question that's been on his mind since the day began.]

When someone turns eighteen, do they do anything special? It's a pretty big thing for teenagers in America; you can vote and get drafted and pretty much be considered an adult by the law. But does it mean anything in other worlds? Call me curious.

[He goes to the Battledome after that to simulate a basketball game – just to watch this time, not to participate. The 1992 East Regional Final, Duke verses Kentucky, one of the most suspenseful games in history and something that Teddy had watched on YouTube, but certainly not like this. It's no wonder that he's particularly hyped when he walks out. So much so that he takes to the sky as soon as he's outside, deciding that he'd rather take the joyride home rather than plain old walking. He's still a teenager, and he still feels pretty invincible even without that adult knowledge he was expecting, so why not?

Teddy might not feel any different, but it's still a pretty special day.]

[Teddy's lost in thought for a moment, trying to figure out how to let his words take shape. Among the many reasons why it's hard to share whatever's on his mind, the fact that he sometimes just doesn't know how to say it all is a tiny one. Sometimes they think he's done and talk, not knowing that he'd still been trying to come up with something. And that's fine, and he leaves it at that, feels better for it most of the time.

But Billy stays quiet, so it isn't so hard to find the shape and present it.]

Back then, if you asked me something like that... I probably wouldn't have believed you. Or if I did, it would've been for all the wrong reasons. [Because he wouldn't have been Teddy the geek, the gamer, the nerd, the alien, the shapeshifter. He would've been Teddy the basketball star, the jock, the crowd pleaser. Hell, he might've been Tony Stark, or Spider-man, or Thor. Certainly not him.]

I might... still have a hard time. But I'm different now. I was just thinking about how much so, all in two years. [It seems like such a short time, but so much happened... it ought to feel like ten instead.]

[Billy thinks quietly about that for a little while- not too long, but long enough to both be sure that Teddy's finished as well as take it all in. He sifts his fingers lazily through Teddy's hair, drumming a bit with his free hand on the blond's chest.]

I've watched you change, all that time. A shapeshifter of the mind. It's like you're a completely different person than you were the day we met.

[His tone is musing, both thoughtful and pleased, and he presses a kiss right between the pectorals.]

I'm proud of you, you know that? Proud, and... really happy to have known you all this time. The real you.

[The action, and the words, makes Teddy smile, dimples showing up in his cheeks. He lets his own fingers stroke through Billy's hair, feeling just how disheveled it is, knowing why, and - hnnngh, he can feel his arousal twitch in response to that. Even with the mood changing on its head, from heated to tender and insightful, he's still ready for more.

But there's something else to focus on now, like Billy and how long they've known each other, how much they've changed, how they've stayed at each other's sides and watched them grow, happy and proud of to know the person they're turning into.]

I'm proud of you too, you know. And I can't begin to tell you how happy you've made me... and maybe we'll be different people in two years again. Or four, five, ten...

[He trails off, but he lets his hand drift back to Billy's temple, then his cheek, while he looks him in the eyes.

And I'd like to be there for you and change with you, beside you, in all those two, four, five, ten years, is what goes unsaid.]

[There's that feeling again- those words, the impression that there's so much more to it that Teddy isn't saying. And the more often this happens, the more he wants to hear it, but... well, if Teddy's not ready, it's probably not time. And since there's nothing stopping him from saying it but his own uncertainty, then he's probably not ready yet, either.

Still... he's looking forward to it. And every time this happens, he becomes even more sure that it's just a matter of time.

Thus, he shifts a hand to press it over Teddy's against his cheek, smiling softly, his thumb stroking.]

Maybe... and even if we are, I can see myself loving you that long, too. And longer.

[It's a similar feeling, one of both uncertainty and surety, anxiety and anticipation. The fact that it's shared, obviously shared, makes the more negative factors lessen with each time this happens, and Teddy feels like it really is only a matter of time. And he can't help looking forward to it.

He ends up shutting his eyes and leaning in to press his forehead to Billy's, breathing with him, caressing his cheekbone gently.]

Ditto. [...] I'll always love you.

[That certain feeling becomes a little overwhelming then, and so he pushes it back by closing the distance and pressing his lips to Billy's.]

[He could reply to that - he has plenty of them floating around in his head after hearing it - but when Teddy kisses him, he simply leans in and returns it with enthusiasm, letting his response be conveyed through their shared embrace. At this point, they really don't need words to express their feelings about one another (even if it does help) and he's more than happy to get back into action.

They're supposed to be celebrating, after all.]

[This is more familiar territory right here. Teddy deepens the kiss, tender and passionate all at once, while he slides an arm around Billy's shoulders, then rolls, using his free hand to keep his weight up when they've flipped positions.

This is also more familiar territory, and Teddy takes advantage of that by sliding his hand down Billy's chest, down his navel, and just as it seems like he's going for the gold again, Teddy changes directions on him. Instead, he tugs at Billy's pants; they're both still wearing entirely too much clothing, after all.]

[Billy was waiting for that to happen, so when it finally does he arches eagerly against Teddy, his arms sliding up to wrap around the blond's neck and shoulders, drawing him into the kiss as he opens up with eagerness. He then stretches his toes and pinches the material of Teddy's jeans to help drag them down as well. He wants skin on skin and he wants it now.]

[As much as Teddy wants to stay in the kiss and drag their pants down like that, it's probably way too difficult to do with just one hand and toes involved. He at least gets Billy's pants and underwear down to his thighs before he breaks the kiss and gives his boyfriend a seductive smile, trying to tell him that he broke it early for a reason.

Which becomes apparent as he moves downward, pressing kisses along Billy's sternum, pushing his hands downward and dragging his pants down with him. And it looks like his kisses aren't stopping, brushing over his abdominal muscles, his navel...]

[The implications take a moment or so to sink in, and in those moments Billy feels a needy twinge as Teddy shifts away. He lets his hands shift to Teddy's hair as he moves out of reach of the embrace, mouth slightly parted to catch his breath after the kiss. What's he-

...oh.]

Are you... ah... are you sure it's not my birthday...?

Mm, no reason why we can't celebrate a little early.

[The words are brushed against his lover's skin, and once his lips reach the curls of hair above Billy's erection, he takes his time in moving back towards the tip, breathing out warm air against his flesh, hands pulling his clothing down to his knees. Finally, finally, once his pants are past his knees and enough for Billy to kick off if he wants, Teddy open his mouth to take in the head of his arousal, lips closing around it, encasing it in wetness and heat -

And then he pulls back, glancing up at him with a little smirk.]

You know, unless you want to turn things around...

[Billy groans, smacking his head back against the pillow. Seriously, Teddy? Seriously?]

Oh my god, you can't say that after doing that, you jerk...

[So very coherent. And then clarity comes to him and he raises his head back up, brows lifting.]

Wait. Do you want me to? Because I can. Can I?

[Teddy it's your birthday what do you want HE WILL DO IT]

Maybe in a bit.

[HE'S ALREADY SAID WHAT HE WANTED AFTER ALL but right now, he wants to get back to this. Which he does, again starting at the head and, with a bit of shifting, takes Billy in fully, nosing at the curls at the base, before he draws back, tongue pressing against the underside.]

[HRNGH well okay then. Billy gasps and smacks his head against the pillow again, keeping it there this time, and his hips arch upwards instinctively. He likes doing oral and all, and from Teddy's usual responses he can only assume that he's pretty good at it, but Teddy? Teddy's amazing. What he can do with his shifting is delightfully unique, and it's nothing Billy's ever felt before.

Normally he'd try to muffle himself - the noises that he makes can be kind of embarrassing - but he refrains from doing that this time, letting his moans out freely and without restraint. Teddy had wanted to hear it, after all, and... well, like he said. It's his birthday.]

[Teddy would smile, but he's kind of focused on pleasuring his boyfriend here. He's not as much of a fan as giving oral as Billy is, but what he loves are his reactions, and coming up with all sorts of creative ways to shift his mouth, his tongue, whatever he can do to get the best responses out of Billy, to feel shivers of his own and feel his own arousal beg for attention.

So he glances up at him instead, one hand against Billy's outer thigh and the other creeping towards his entrance, just to tease, just to brush against the area. As he reaches it, he shuts his eyes again and tips his head forward, his tongue curling at the edges until it can completely encase him by the time he reaches the base again. So when he pulls back, it creates a soft, gentle tugging effect, and he finds himself glancing up again to watch Billy's reaction.]

Impulse and habit overrides willpower at this point, and Billy smacks both hands over his face, muffling what is practically a scream at the sensation of it. He'd already been on edge, so built up from the dual handjob they'd been sharing earlier, so what Teddy's doing to him now is mind-blowingly good. He finally manages to kick his pants off entirely, and as soon as his legs are free he lifts them up to wind possessively around Teddy's shoulders, toes curling at his back.]

[A pleased hum escapes from him, and strangely enough, the vibrations from it seem closer than they normally would. Probably another little shift. But god, those reactions, the way Billy's clinging to him, his toes against his back, the noises...

With his pants loose and lowered a bit as they are, Teddy slides one hand back to stroke his own erection, unable to keep from touching himself. And with his mouth he alternates, between keeping his tongue to himself and allowing Billy to arch and thrust all he wants, and using it again, just to wring that sort of reaction out of him.

Still, he pays attention, ready to back off in case Billy ends up close to the edge again. He wanted skin-on-skin, they both did, and more than that, and Teddy'd rather not have it end early.]

Which is to say, Teddy recognizes the signs, and he pulls back, mouth and throat shifting to normal, though replaces his mouth with his hand just to ease him off. Suddenly being cut off from so much pleasure is a bit jarring, after all.]

Know where the lube is? [He sounds breathless, voice heavy with just how badly he wants to take him, be one with him, drive them both over the edge. Billy half-collapses against the bed when Teddy releases him, eyes clenched, mouth open as he pants for breath. The sudden plunge is dizzying, and at Teddy's question, all he can manage is a slight nod, an incoherent mumble that is halfway to a moan, and vague, limp-wristed gesture in the direction of the bedside table. It's... over there. Somewhere. He needs a minute.]

[There's a slight pause as Teddy considers. That's three things he needs to do: keep stroking Billy, get the lube, and take off his own pants, and he only has two hands, unless he shifts another. What to do...

Well, while a part of him wants Billy to watch while he removes the rest of his clothing, he knows better right now. So he releases his hold on Billy for the moment to use both his hands, now easily able to slide off his pants and underwear and fling it off the bed (and flying through the air and smacking against the wall; it's a damn good thing they're light-weight and not any heavier).

[... Although he's finding it a little difficult to actually move back; with their bodies pressed together like this, their erections grinding together and making everything amazing, Billy's nails against his legs and his fingers in his hair and looking at him like this? Why would he want to?]

[Why? Because it is going to get better, obviously, just like he said. Billy isn't about to complain about the grinding, though, and he joins in the motions for a little while, leaning in to kiss Teddy on the lips again, deeper than the quick, chaste kisses they'd shared before things got really heated, mostly to keep up as much contact as possible until they have to pull away.

Before too long, though, he gets a little impatient, sharing one last kiss before tilting his head back and giving Teddy a nudge, brows lifting above a sensual and expectant expression.]

Come on... I really want you, T... are you gonna make me beg?

[Please?]

[Teddy might love to tease, but he doesn't like to push it too far. So when Billy looks at him like that and makes that comment, Teddy lets out an amused and helpless chuckle, and he leans down to brush his nose against Billy's ear.]

Okay... okay.

[He presses a few more kisses to Billy's jawline, then finally leans back, uncapping the lube and spreading it onto his fingers before rubbing them together, just so that it won't be quite as cold.]

Don't you like how... we switch on the impatience thing... sometimes?

[Once he's satisfied with the temperature, Teddy scoots backwards some more, one hand lifting Billy's leg to his shoulder while the other teases at his entrance, fingers just barely grazing against it. It's only when he has his free hand wrapped around Billy's arousal that he presses forward, sliding a finger inside and taking in a deep breath, eyes heavy, already imagining what will be beyond this.]
