004 - Action/Voice
[Action]
[Although Teddy didn't go on the draft, he knew plenty of friends who did. Once he was certain they were all accounted for, though some had gone through some heavy losses, he felt like he could relax a little. And with relaxation, it dawned on him that he hadn't really practiced his shifting ability in a while. Sure, there was his Hulkling form, but he knew that one. Knew it inside and out. What about others?
This is why he sits by the edge of the fountain, homework and pencil in hand, though he doesn't work so much as watch people over the top of the page. He's inconspicuous about it, as this is a hobby he's developed for some time now.
And when he's sure he's not in anyone's range of vision, he transforms, shifting into the form of the person he's got his eyes on. That's when he stops watching them and looks down at the body he's impersonating, just to study the shape, occasionally glancing up to make sure he has everything right. Even when the person's left, he still stays in that form for a few long moments before he shifts back, writing his answers in his homework once he's satisfied with the shape he's in.
Observe, learn, shift, hold. This is what he's learned over the years, though it's been a while since he's done this for selfless reasons. Just for practice, nothing more.]
[Voice]
[It's sunset and he's still outside, though he appears to be walking back home. There's just one thing on his mind, something that occurred to him while shifting.]
Anyone up for playing b-ball sometime? It's been way too long since I actually got to play against someone. Holograms just don't really cut it, you know?
[He would suggest football, but, well. When you've got the ability to possibly break someone in half with a good tackle, that probably isn't the best sport to go for.]

[action]
Well, thankfully you not only live in a building that apparently fixes itself when it breaks, but you have a boyfriend who can zap it better on request. So broken steps are no big deal.
[action]
Yeah. I do.
[Because it's not only the fact that Billy can use his magic again, after so long without it, but also that this person is his boyfriend. How did he get so lucky again?]
[action]
Shyly burying it with a quiet huff and a cough, he floats in close enough that his shoulder bumps against Teddy's, giving his hand a squeeze.]
Maybe we just need to work on teaching you how to be light on your feet. You can be like a... Hulk ninja. Or something.
[action]
[Still, it makes him smile and squeeze Billy's hand in return; it's cute and all.]
... Besides, I don't think the Hulk could be a ninja no matter how hard he tried at it.
[action]
That's just unfair. Now I can't dare you or challenge you or anything because you're the one who be testing that theory. Totally uncontrolled bias there.
[action]
What would you dare me to do, anyway? Give Hulkling a ninja outfit?
[action]
[action]
Hulkling in a ninja outfit... and going from the bedroom to the kitchen without waking up the kids.
[action]
[He quirks a brow, fighting back a smile.]
Now, to figure out the stakes...
[action]
How about... if I win, and I end up alerting the kids no matter how quiet I am, I get access to your laptop for a week. Gotta catch up on Skyrim and everything else of mine you've got on there.
[please don't say lack of sex]
[action]
Whaaat? Like you don't have that already...
[Though, okay, he is on his laptop an awful lot. And it isn't such a terrible loss since if Teddy's on his laptop and he needs one, there's still Teddy's...
...hmm. In retaliation, though, what to do.]
Fine, whatever. But if I win, mm...
[How can he make it worth Teddy's while to actually try to pull it off.]
...If I win, I'm gonna go to the library, and...
[He leans over, tugging Teddy in closer to whisper in his ear something lengthy and teasing, involving kama sutra and contortion and practice and a few other things that have no business being discussed in a public place. And when he draws back he has to look away because he honestly can't look Teddy in the eye again.]
[action]
U-Uh... Can we... do that sometime in the, ah... future anyway?
[action]
[He still won't look at Teddy, free hand lifting to scratch awkwardly at his cheek, which is still bright red, as if even he can't believe that such a suggestion came out of his own mouth.]
You'll just have to make a choice between... that, or Skyrim, I guess.
[action]
[He teases, because really, it's no brainer. He's still red in the face himself, but he still lifts their entwined hands to his mouth, where he places a kiss on the back of Billy's hand.]
You know I'll choose anything that has to do with you, right? [Whiiich will make this harder, since he knows he can't win against the ears of a dog and a cat.]
[action]
[He says it all in a practiced, neutral tone, even if it's unbelievably difficult to keep a straight face with Teddy doing that to his hand; if he wasn't in the air he's pretty sure his legs would've half-turned to jelly. It's unfair that the smallest things that his boyfriend does can have that effect on him at least eighty percent of the time.]
[action]
[Not that Teddy's that nosy, and he'd really only use it to play the games he's got on there, and maybe listen to his music. But still.]
And here you are, thinking about porn instead. I should be the one who doesn't feel emotionally wanted.
[He, too, has a neutral tone and expression, although there's a hint of teasing to it that Billy can probably pick out by now, and he punctuates it with a fake sniff. It doesn't help that he keeps Billy's hand where it is, and he keeps stroking his thumb with his own.]
[action]
[WOW TEDDY THAT'S A LITTLE INSULTING good thing he knows Teddy is joking. Not that it's easy to tell by his expression, either. P-p-p-p-pokerface-]
[action]
[He turns and moves ahead slightly so that he can face Billy, a light grin on his face.]
Not one single person can take the same photo that you do. You're the one who points the camera, you're the one who saw art in that one spot, or a memory, or something you wanted to treasure. You're the one who downloads those songs and loves them. Makes me dance to them in the kitchen until we've got flour all over the place. Every single thing you do is just... you. And I love you.
[He reaches out to take his other hand, the smile turning into something cheekier.]
And I get to see what it's all about for a week. If I win, anyway.
[action]
is he supposed to say
to that
And now with both hands clasped in Teddy's, he doesn't have much choice but to face him, eyes wide in that astonished little deer-in-headlights expression he tends to get whenever Teddy blindsides him with stuff like that. You'd think he'd be used to it by now but somehow his boyfriend still manages to catch him off guard sometimes.]
Uh. You- you're- what? Oh god, I'm so shallow. You should totally break up with me right now.
[action]
[He leans in a little closer, eyes half-lidding to give him his most flirtatious look and voice lowering to a whisper. These aren't really public things to say, after all.]
Besides, I love what you do elsewhere, too.
[action]
I can't imagine what you could possibly mean by that, Mr. Altman.
[action]
[Nevertheless, he does lean in to whisper something about celebrating the fact that Billy has his magic back, albeit in a way that makes him more and more flushed in the face before he pulls back, though he at least does his best to keep looking his boyfriend in the eye.]
[action]
Teddy that was
kind of dirty and inappropriate
....
Which doesn't stop Billy from pausing for all of three seconds before dragging Teddy in close again for a long, deep, and thoroughly passionate mid-air kiss. Hopefully he can do two things at once and keep them afloat, because he's awfully focused on this right now.]
[action]
I can understand you wanting to give the whole village a show, B, but...
[action]
It's not like I was gonna rip your clothes off in mid-air or anything.
[As entertaining as that might sound in theory, he's pretty sure there would be trouble coming from all corners of his life if he tried.]
