004 - Action/Voice
[Action]
[Although Teddy didn't go on the draft, he knew plenty of friends who did. Once he was certain they were all accounted for, though some had gone through some heavy losses, he felt like he could relax a little. And with relaxation, it dawned on him that he hadn't really practiced his shifting ability in a while. Sure, there was his Hulkling form, but he knew that one. Knew it inside and out. What about others?
This is why he sits by the edge of the fountain, homework and pencil in hand, though he doesn't work so much as watch people over the top of the page. He's inconspicuous about it, as this is a hobby he's developed for some time now.
And when he's sure he's not in anyone's range of vision, he transforms, shifting into the form of the person he's got his eyes on. That's when he stops watching them and looks down at the body he's impersonating, just to study the shape, occasionally glancing up to make sure he has everything right. Even when the person's left, he still stays in that form for a few long moments before he shifts back, writing his answers in his homework once he's satisfied with the shape he's in.
Observe, learn, shift, hold. This is what he's learned over the years, though it's been a while since he's done this for selfless reasons. Just for practice, nothing more.]
[Voice]
[It's sunset and he's still outside, though he appears to be walking back home. There's just one thing on his mind, something that occurred to him while shifting.]
Anyone up for playing b-ball sometime? It's been way too long since I actually got to play against someone. Holograms just don't really cut it, you know?
[He would suggest football, but, well. When you've got the ability to possibly break someone in half with a good tackle, that probably isn't the best sport to go for.]

It's not like I was gonna rip your clothes off in mid-air or anything.
[As entertaining as that might sound in theory, he's pretty sure there would be trouble coming from all corners of his life if he tried.]
[action]
[But before he can finish that sentence, Teddy's jolted out of it when he feels his feet skid against the ground - him being closest means that he's the first to feel it, and he lets out a surprised sound before he yanks his legs up and looks down at the ground, which is surprisingly a lot closer after their little makeout session.]
Um - Not to ruin the fun or anything, but...!
[action]
...Ah... I guess I'm still out of practice.
[action]
Once he gets his wits back, Teddy blinks hard, then looks up at Billy with something of a breathless laugh.]
I'll say. You only just got your powers back, after all. [He finally pulls himself up to be level with Billy, though he keeps his arms where they are.] Wanna head back to our place now? That's probably enough flying for one day.
[action]
Right. Good idea. Um. I'd suggest a teleport, but at this point...
[...Yeaaaah no. He lifts a hand to curl it around the one Teddy has at his chest, squeezing gently.]
...Fly home with me?
[action]
No problem.
[And since his clothes are shifted on today, there's no tearing shirts apart as he shifts his second pair of wings from his back and spreads them out. He's not flying just yet, but in case Billy's powers give out, he's ready for it.]
How about you lead the way? I'll be right here.
[action]
...Okay. Just don't let go.
[Not that he thinks Teddy would... but with a little burst of energy behind them, he starts leading the way home as requested.]
[action]
[And indeed, he keeps a good hold on Billy's hand, wings gently flapping along with the currents of air, yet not enough to throw off Billy's path. Teddy definitely trusts him, just as he trusts him to say if he can't go any further. Of course, he's keeping an eye on how Billy's feeling, with glances at his boyfriend's figure as well as paying attention to their hands. He's ready, just in case.]
[action]
[There's another little burst of magic, this time under Billy directly, and suddenly he's floating upside down above Teddy, still holding his hand, but looking like he's about to let go. His expression is playful; he's just gotten his magic back, sure, but that doesn't mean he's not going to back fun with it.]
[action]
Nope. You're stuck with me, Kaplan.
[action]
[Besides smile and offer up sickening lovey-dovey expressions, maybe. But he always does that anyway.
He has such a weird boyfriend, though. All those extra fingers feel downright bizarre.]
You're getting better, by the way. With your shifting. Have you and Xavin been training?
