008 [Action]
Aug. 14th, 2014 10:18 pm[When Teddy went to bed, he felt pretty much normal. Not like anything was going to happen or anything. Just curled up next to his sleeping boyfriend, kissed his cheek good night, then drifted off to sleep.
During the night, however, after he's rolled to the side, he shifts, and not just a sleep-shift. His shoulders aren't quite so broad, he's more slender, the shorts and t-shirt he wore to bed hang loosely around his frame, and the ring Billy gave him just a couple of weeks ago shrinks in size to fit him.
And when he wakes up, he's confused, frustrated and out of his mind with worry, because he doesn't know why he's here when he should be in the middle of a battle in New York against the Skrulls. And why is he wearing clothes that are way too big for him, and – is that a ring on his finger?
Scratch the whole “he” and “his” thing. Teddie Altman, super heroine of Earth-615, has arrived.]
[Later, after Billy's explained things, Teddie's decided to explore Luceti for herself and see just where she's ended up, unable to escape. It's small, it's slow, it's... incredibly rustic, and also houses some characters that she's looked up to when she was a kid, and practically adores now. It's sort of like being in a comic con, or anime con, or whatever con, and it's taking place in a tiny town just outside of Jersey. Only this isn't cosplay; this is apparently the real thing, and Teddie can't help staring at some of the characters she knows before quickly looking away. She has no idea how Billy can keep his cool around some of these people, because all Teddie wants to do is give in to the fangirl shrieking that's going on in her head.
First up, though, she needs to find some clothes. Billy's clothes fit her to an extent, but they still hang loosely, the chest area is tight, and she has to wear a belt just to keep the pants up. Next, eat something, because she'd just gotten over being knocked unconscious back at home, and there's apparently only one real restaurant here (which is one of the biggest shocks, really). After that, she stays by the fountain to eat and people watch, both because she likes to do it, and also because she's not sure she wants to go back to the apartment. Yes, Billy's there, but... it's not her Billie, and she keeps seeing pictures of her - him and his boyfriend looking so happy, and he's sad because his boyfriend's sort of gone, and -
Ugh. It's messing with her head, all of this is. She still can't help thinking that is just some weird dream while she's still knocked out back at home. She'll wake up, surely she'll wake up soon, and Xavin will still be there trying to drag her to safety, Billie and the rest of the Young Avengers will find her, and she can tell them all about this crazy dream she had.
