004 - Action/Voice
[Action]
[Although Teddy didn't go on the draft, he knew plenty of friends who did. Once he was certain they were all accounted for, though some had gone through some heavy losses, he felt like he could relax a little. And with relaxation, it dawned on him that he hadn't really practiced his shifting ability in a while. Sure, there was his Hulkling form, but he knew that one. Knew it inside and out. What about others?
This is why he sits by the edge of the fountain, homework and pencil in hand, though he doesn't work so much as watch people over the top of the page. He's inconspicuous about it, as this is a hobby he's developed for some time now.
And when he's sure he's not in anyone's range of vision, he transforms, shifting into the form of the person he's got his eyes on. That's when he stops watching them and looks down at the body he's impersonating, just to study the shape, occasionally glancing up to make sure he has everything right. Even when the person's left, he still stays in that form for a few long moments before he shifts back, writing his answers in his homework once he's satisfied with the shape he's in.
Observe, learn, shift, hold. This is what he's learned over the years, though it's been a while since he's done this for selfless reasons. Just for practice, nothing more.]
[Voice]
[It's sunset and he's still outside, though he appears to be walking back home. There's just one thing on his mind, something that occurred to him while shifting.]
Anyone up for playing b-ball sometime? It's been way too long since I actually got to play against someone. Holograms just don't really cut it, you know?
[He would suggest football, but, well. When you've got the ability to possibly break someone in half with a good tackle, that probably isn't the best sport to go for.]

voice;
[Well, when he's not going to school, giving guitar lessons and practicing in the Danger Room.]
voice;
[Obvious logic is the best logic!]
voice;
[And after a small pause:] Okay, so what's your name? I probably need to know it if I'm going to contact you tomorrow.
voice;
Oh right, I'm Florian! What's your name?
voice;
Florian? I'm Teddy. Nice to meet you.
We can talk more about this tomorrow, all right? I'll set up the court and everything. Maybe we can try night playing, too!
voice;
Okay, Teddy! I'll be ready to play whenever you call!
voice;
Got it.
[And late afternoon of the next day, a ping comes from Florian's journal. Once he opens it up, he'll get a message.]
Hey, Florian! This is Teddy. If you're ready to play, I'll be waiting at the Battledome for you.
voice;
By late afternoon he's almost forgotten about the whole basketball promise, but once he hears the message he's immediately up and running, leaping into the Battledome as if he's just won a race...which he did, because he was racing himself.]
Ta-dah~!!
action;
Hey! Good to see you face to face. [He then passes him the ball - gently, seeing how he hasn't played before.] Ready to play?
action;
I'm ready when you are!
action;
[But, well. He doesn't want this to be purely about basketball and nothing else. So, as Teddy walks, he looks sidelong at Florian with an easy smile.]
Actually, I think I've seen your brother in class. Ion? [Must be identical twins.]
action;
[He plays with the ball as he walks, bouncing it once, throwing it up in the air, bouncing it again, fumbling it--oops.]
action;
[That's okay, Teddy's on it. He takes a step out to grab it, dribble it a few times in one hand, then pass it from behind his back to Florian once again.]
Do you go to school at all? [Teddy doesn't think he's seen him around, but... could be Ion, could be Florian.]
action;
[Because they are! Also: woooow you're good, Teddy. He offers a big smile after catching the ball again.]
I go to school, yeah. It's hard to pay attention though, I'd rather play outside.
action;
Replicas? Wait, you mean like clones?
action;
[He tilts his head in thought, contemplating it for a moment. The moment doesn't last long though before he shakes the thought out of his head.]
...We're brothers now though, so whichever we are doesn't really matter though, I think.
